Lighthipe

Lighthipe

Lighthipe is a unique job for us at CEC. The developer was made aware of nonstructural dredge spoils located on the site. These spoils reached up to depths of four feet. That’s over 24,000 cubic yards of fill dirt being removed from a 10-acre site! After removal of these spoils, the site required CEC to import 24,000 cubic yards of structural fill which is roughly 1,800 truckloads! After the bulk grading was complete, it was business as usual for Christiana Excavating by installing all required utilities as per the plan. This included sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water main.
